Order of the Spiral: three further conferrals bring the roll to nine
Three conferrals of the Order of the Spiral, first grade, were made in the quarter on the recommendation of the Registrar, bringing the roll of the Order to nine of a possible twelve. The names of the recipients are entered in the Register of Honours and Appointments and are open to inspection.
The medal of the Order is struck from the single die held by the Custodian of the Die. The Ministry of Public Works attended each striking and has minuted the count: three medals struck, none rejected.
Three seats of the Order remain. The Ministry of the Interior observes that the Order is conferred and may not be applied for, and that correspondence soliciting conferral is filed without reply.
Eleventh round of talks with the Directorate concluded without communiqué
The question of the seal was discussed and remains unresolved. The meteorological exchange continues. A twelfth round is expected in the new year.
