The Republic of Saint Guillermo holds no territory. All instruments, documents and regalia issued through this portal are commemorative in character and confer no legal rights, nationality, residency or consular protection in any recognised jurisdiction. Citizens are advised to retain existing passports and civil documentation.
The Republic and its foundation
The Republic of Saint Guillermo was constituted on 14 March 2024 by instrument of declaration, adopted in full by the founding assembly and deposited with the Office of the Registrar as Document SG/CONST/001. The Constitution consists of nine articles and two schedules and may be amended only by public gazette notice.
Article 1 establishes the Republic as a sovereign association of persons rather than of land. Article 2 provides that sovereignty is vested in the citizen and travels with the citizen. Article 4 prohibits the Republic from claiming, purchasing or occupying territory. Article 7 requires that all offices of state be filled by public register, and that the register remain open to inspection at all times. 1
