Ministry of Foreign Correspondence

Conducts the relations of the Republic with every other state, all of which are conducted by letter. Acknowledges recognition when it is offered and records its absence when it is not. Maintains the register of instruments of recognition under Article 10.

Three grades of office are open in the Ministry of Foreign Correspondence to any citizen, without limit of number, for a term of one year renewed annually unless resigned. Each appointment carries a plate of office bearing the style of office and the name of the Republic and despatched to the address given at payment. No citizen holds more than one office at a time.

The fee of office is taken on take-up and on each anniversary until resigned; it is final and non-refundable — Conditions of Supply.
Offices are held in service and not in rank (Article 7). The fee of office is levied toward the plate and the maintenance of the roll; resignation is without refund. Petitions against an appointment are heard by the Ministry of Complaints.
